Delete your VoiceBrief account or local data
Keep your account and delete local history, remove one saved result, or permanently delete the account and associated data.
Last updated:
Delete in the App
- Sign in to VoiceBrief.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation and confirm permanent deletion.
This is the fastest method. It deletes the VoiceBrief account and data controlled by VoiceBrief, and clears locally saved VoiceBrief results on that device.
Delete Local Data Without Deleting Your Account
VoiceBrief history is saved locally on your device. You can remove some or all of that local history while keeping your VoiceBrief account active:
- To delete all saved briefs and transcripts on the device, open Settings → Delete saved text (Clear local history), then confirm.
- To delete one result, open History and swipe the saved result toward the trash icon. VoiceBrief offers an immediate Undo action if you removed it by mistake.
Temporary audio files are deleted automatically after processing. If an interruption prevents immediate deletion, operational cleanup removes them. Temporary server processing results may remain for up to 24 hours to support safe retries and prevent duplicate charging, then are removed automatically under the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
Clearing local history or deleting one result does not delete your account or cancel a store subscription.
What Is Deleted
- Your VoiceBrief account and authentication record.
- VoiceBrief usage, quota, processing-job, and support-linked account records associated with that account where applicable.
- Temporary audio objects and generated processing results controlled by VoiceBrief and associated with that account.
- Local VoiceBrief results on the device when deletion is completed from inside the app.
What May Be Retained
App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat transaction records may remain for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or operational reasons under their policies. VoiceBrief may retain a limited deletion-request or support record as needed to verify ownership, document completion, investigate abuse, protect the service, or satisfy legal obligations. A manual server-side request cannot erase copies that remain locally on a device you no longer access.
Submit a Manual Deletion Request
If you cannot sign in, use the email associated with your VoiceBrief account. If you used Apple Hide My Email, enter the relay address shown for VoiceBrief when possible. The request enters the private support queue; submitting it does not delete the account immediately. We verify ownership before deletion and never ask for a password or sign-in code.
Subscription Cancellation Is Separate
Deleting a VoiceBrief account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage or cancel an active subscription separately in the applicable store settings. If Sign in with Apple authorization remains after deletion, you can revoke VoiceBrief manually in Apple Account settings under apps using your Apple ID.
